EXPLANATION
EMS stands for ‘Electrical Muscle Stimulation’. This method of training utilizes electrical impulses to achieve a controlled contraction of the skeletal striated muscles.Its is probably the best scientifically proven training tool for weight loss and muscle toning. In conventional training, muscles are controlled by the central nervous system via electrical signals to cause contraction and therefore movement. EXPERIENCE
The electrical impulse will be weak and hardly noticeable initially. Your personal trainer will adjust the impulse level throughout the workout according to your needs. A typical 30-minute strength program consists of two repeating phases, each lasting for four seconds. Within four seconds, the electrical impulse triggers the contraction of the muscles. This is then followed by four seconds of relaxation. The personal trainer will demonstrate the exercises, which will be tailored to your individual training goals, as well as control and correct your movements throughout the training session

Is E.M.S. good for post pregnancy?
Yes, E.M.S. is specifically designed to tighten and tone slack muscles (post natal bulges). Fair warning, do not start treatments for approximately 6 weeks after delivery and after consulting your doctor. Very gentle contractions are recommended to start, gradually building up intensity over several treatments

When will I see results?
You will feel better after your first few sessions. Visible results should be seen within four to six weeks, depending on the condition of your muscles and your body physiology when you start your sessions. Can I do E.M.S as an addition to my normal workout routine?
Yes, you can. Ideal additions to EMS training include activities such as yoga or Pilates as well as any type of cardio training. The recovery phase of an EMS session is typically 24 to 48 hours, similar to a conventional training session. High-intensity resistance training, e.g. lifting heavy weights, is another great addition to EMS training but should be avoided during the recovery phase. All other sports related activities can be continued as normal
